About Vision Learning Center

Dr. Khadra Hussien is the founder of Vision Learning Center. As an immigrant woman, author, and public school educator, she understands the challenges some of our communities face today. For many years working in public schools, she has regularly advocated for equal education rights for underserved students in St. Paul, MN. Dr. Khadra sees that equity and inclusion are vital to achieving equal opportunities to reach our goals and succeed. Her ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is impenetrable.

Vision Learning Center is a non-profit 501(C)(3) educational program created by a current public school teacher and mother who has seen the need for the services with the help of other current and retired educators to make afterschool programs accessible for the whole community. We are working on a future where everyone can access their afterschool program goals without financial and accessibility restrictions. We know the path to reach this vision is long, but every journey begins with a goal and teamwork. That is what our educators from different backgrounds are trying to achieve.

 Our mission is to bridge educational and cultural gaps, empower students, and foster a sense of community pride. By offering a variety of enriching learning, we aim to create a supportive environment that nurtures holistic development and unlocks the potential within each student.
